The Island - Lisa Henry Shaw goes to the island of an international drug dealer to sell a stolen painting and make connections with other bad guys. He finds that his host has a captive american agent, Lee.

This was a really good, really intense book. The things done to Lee were ongoing and scary (but not graphically drawn). I was shocked at how much Shaw allowed Lee to keep suffering before doing anything. Lee's generosity of spirit was sweet. Very different from Tribute but equally enjoyable!
